Built-in 1925, it was at the time the most advanced race ground in Europe. Until August 2000, gallop races were held here, including Imperial's world-fame. From October 2003, gallop races will be held here again. Since June 2004, trotting competitions have been running on the new track.
On July 3, 2005, a new chapter began at Kincsem Park, which is now a multifunctional racetrack and event venue in the heart of Budapest. The trotting horses are equipped with a 400-box stall system and a 1,200-meter lighted racetrack with alternative training grounds. Gallop horses can compete on a 2000-meter gallop lawn, a 1300-meter lawn on a straight course, and a 1,900-meter sandy field.
The spectacular service is supported by a 3,500-seat stand, a 1000-seat reception hall, a closed-circuit broadcast system with 73 TVs, a 400-seat air-conditioned panoramic restaurant, and 4 fully equipped VIP lounges.
The historic monumental stands, with their vast grassy areas, provide a unique venue for events complementing horse racing.
In the park, you will find two of the most famous race galleries of Hungarian gallop sports, the statue of the unbeatable Kincsem and the golden-haired Maltese Imperial.
