Japanim TV was a 24-hour anime and animation satellite television channel in Japan, owned by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation (YTV) and operated by Nihon TV (NTV). It aired from August 29, 2006, to May 31, 2011.
Japanim TV featured a wide range of anime series, movies, and specials, as well as news and information about the anime industry. The channel also produced and aired several original anime series, including "Hakaba Kitarō", "Mononokean", and "Phantom in the Twilight".
Japanim TV closed down in 2011 due to low viewership and financial difficulties. Other networks and streaming services later acquired many of its original anime series.
