Mitra is Afghanistan’s Persian TV Channel and in Persian carries various meanings such as love, friendship and often being used as a synonym for the sun. it is being broadcasted from Balkh province and you can watch it all over the world now.

Mitra in Persian carries various meanings such as love, friendship and often being used as a synonym for the sun. Mitra Group is based in Mazar-e-Sharif with a major studio in Kabul. Mitra started its test transmission in the capital on 12 November 2013 and expanding coverage to other provinces of Afghanistan. Mitra Group strives to be a hub of information and inspiration to every individual who receives its signal.

Mitra TV aims to promote public awareness on democracy and peacebuilding through educating the targeted audience, fostering tolerance among various social groups, convening discussions on citizen’s civil and political rights, reflecting citizen’s unheard voices, and institutionalization of human rights and individual liberty lie at the heart of our programs.

Mitra TV offers local and international news, political discussions, series, historical content analysis, documentaries, movies, music, cartoons, religious discussions, sports, and many other interesting entertainment programs.
