România TV, also known as ROM TV or RTV, is a private 24-hour news television channel in Romania, based in Bucharest. It first went on air on October 23, 2011 under the name RTV and officially changed its name to România TV on December 1, 2011 following a trademark dispute. The channel now broadcasts in HD with a 16:9 format and is widely available via cable, satellite, and online platforms.

The channel focuses on breaking news, political analysis, live debates, and social commentary. Its editorial line is generally conservative and nationalist, with a strong emphasis on confrontational debate shows that feature politicians, experts, and public figures. One of its best-known programs is Punctul Culminant, a prime-time political talk show that has significant influence but is also often controversial.

In terms of ownership, the broadcasting license is held by Ridzone Computers SRL, with Catrinel Maria Gheorghe as the main shareholder. However, several investigative media outlets point to businessman and former politician Sebastian Ghiță as the de facto controller behind the channel. Over the years, România TV has faced multiple sanctions from the national media regulator (CNA) for editorial violations and misinformation, yet it continues to attract a large audience and remains one of the most prominent news channels in Romania.
